Who are we? :
"F-V| For Valour" is a serious hardcore BF2142 clan. It's a good idea to know what we are about, as this may or may not be the clan for you. Now everything below may sound very structured and regimented (it has to be sometimes), however we are actually a great bunch of guys that have a great laugh every night on venti.

What are we looking for? :
1. Team Players : This is number 1 for a reason. If you're a rambo, cant follow orders, or cant follow strats or a captain's instructions, this is not the clan for you. Go to the game arena ladder and apply to one of the teams down the bottom for other opportunities.
2. Attitude : While skill is important, its our belief that great skill comes from a great attitude. If you are keen to learn new skills, and dedicated enough to practice them, you will get them. Additionally, our team is not just made up of skilled players, but mates. It's important that all new players become friends with the team, not just clan mates.
3. Commitment : As mentioned, we are serious gamers. While we don't expect people to play 24/7, but this team does require a fair bit of time for playing and practice. You would be required to attend 2-3 nights per week minimum in most cases, and this would be assessed during your trial (as will your forum activity and ability to sign up to and attend pracs, matches, scrims in a timely manner).
4. Hardware/Software/Interwebs : You will need a solid computer that runs BF2142 (and a copy of it of course). A solid ADSL or cable connection is also needed. You will also need a good headset with mic.
5. Communications : Our clan moves pretty fast, and things happen quickly. While playing matches and pubbing we use Ventrillo (venty) for voice comms. We can provide you with downloads for this if you are accepted. Also mandatory is MSN. Regular (daily) reading of the forums is imperative, as going a week without reading them wont cut it.

Whats this trial thing about? I don't have to where 'L' plates do I?
All potential members (trialees) are pre-approved by the captains. At this stage we upgrade you forum access so you can enter the clan. You can see almost everything full members can see, minus a few intel sections obviously. A trial runs for roughly 3-4 weeks, and EVERYONE has to do it. It's an internal thing only, and you are a full member as far as the rest of the world is concerned. No special name tags, no sending nude pics of your sister (despite what some may say), and no bad treatment (you do have to suck up to the captains though).
Trialee sounds bad, but it's really just a way of saying new member. Passing trial comes down to how well you fit into the team mainly, and a review of your clan participation. Stay active, enjoy the pink tag, make friends, and you will proceed to full member in no time.

My current BF2142 account name has uber stats. Do I need a new one?
If your current account name has any reference to another clan in it, it's gotta go. Again, no exceptions. Its our opinion that those using a clan tag, despite not being in it, lacks class and we wont encourage it just to keep a few unlocks or some BS stat. If you need a new account, you have 2 choices. Your own name with our TAG added as a prefix, or a new account with F-V|username.
How do I apply?
Ok, still sounding good? Application time. Quite simply, just register on our forums (you will need to provide a real email address for identification), and start a thread entitled "Application" and use this as a template. Tell us a bit about yourself and leave your MSN contact details and a captain will contact you. Don't forget to confirm you have read and will abide by our Code of Conduct.
